新八重山病院と夜間診療所に関心　

「ドーする？ドーなる？八重山の医療、今と未来」をテーマにした講演が20日午後、大川公民館で開かれた。八重山病院麻酔科の上原真人医師が講演した後、八重山地区医師会の上原秀政会長と上原医師が対談し、「人口５万人で離島が多い地域にどのような医療が必要なのか、医療を提供する側と受ける側が同じ土俵で議論してほしい」と呼びかけた。

　八重山青年会議所（仲筋正和理事長）が本年度の八重山創生委員会10月度例会として開催。同会議所では八重山病院の具体的な新築時期が示され、夜間診療所の再開に向けた動きもあることから今回の講演とトークセッション（対談）を企画した。

　上原医師は「全国、世界に視点を広げて、八重山にどういった医療が必要なのか考えなければならない」と述べ、新たな八重山病院が２０１７年４月に開院するまでのスケジュールを説明した。

　対談では、上原会長が夜間診療所の再開について「近くに八重山病院があれば、小児科が得意ではない医師もすぐに（同病院側に）相談できる。そのような体制が整えば、再開できるのではないか」と話し、来年１月から上原内科医院が地区医師会事務所１階で▽月・火・木・金曜日＝午後５時〜午後10時▽土曜日＝午後１時〜午後６時に診療を行うことを紹介。

　上原医師は、夜間診療所が予定している診療時間について「八重山病院医師の負担軽減になると思う」と話した。

　会場の市民からは「本土の病院と八重山病院との連携」「スポーツ大会への医師派遣」「産婦人科診療の現状」などについて質問や意見があった。
